That 90s Vibe: Our M2 for APEX

Last weekend, APEX celebrated their 10 year anniversary with an Open House event. To join in and support the wheel vendor, we brought out our M2 and a customer's Jahre 30 F80 M3 to display. APEX provided us with a square set of their new 18 x 9.5" SM-10 wheels for the M2. To give the car more of a general 90s throwback look, we color matched the wheels Alpine White with a clear powdercoat to make them stand out.

In addition to the wheel swap, we also installed several new interior / cosmetic upgrades, such as the M Performance steering wheel, Euro sun visors, black exterior M2 badging, center console dry carbon fiber, and exterior reflector deletes. Sunny San Francisco: Jae's GTS

The genuine enthusiasm for cars - BMW specifically - runs deep in the staff here at Performance Technic. That said, when a new customer comes along and is equally enthusiastic about these cars, it's an easy relationship. 

Jae is a relatively new customer and is a huge BMW fan. We recently took his M2 in for a full Dinan S2 Signature Package install, including an upgraded turbo. In a conversation, Jae mentioned that he also has a GTS, among other vehicles. While the M2 is obviously a smash hit among BMW lovers, the GTS sits atop a pedestal all its own. We decided it would be fun to meet up for a casual photo session with Jae's GTS to show not only our appreciation for a new customer, but also a collective appreciation for one of BMW's best modern, exclusive, Motorsport achievements. 

End of the Summer F8X NorCal BBQ

With summer now at an end, we decided to get together with the F8X NorCal group for a small BBQ and hangout here at the shop. In the morning, the group of cars set out for an organized drive, which then ended at our location in Fremont. 

Jim from MMI Vehicle Systems set up a small display where he prepared food for the lunch crowd. On display in the shop was our latest Street Clone build, as well as a customer 2002 project. In the customer lounge, Sheldon of Sharp Barber Shop cut hair for a handful of his scheduled appointments. 

While this event was comparatively smaller than our past Open House or Cafe Technic meets, it's still an example of something that we like to do to show appreciation for our friends, family, and customers. We look forward to hosting more events in the future, and hope to continue to meet more fellow enthusiasts along the way.
